Work Day with God 1.4.4 is now available as a Linux testing preview for x86_64 systems. The preview is published separately from the stable Windows release so Linux users can try the application while reporting distribution-specific issues.
The release includes three package formats: an AppImage for portable use, a DEB package for Debian and Ubuntu-based systems, and an RPM package for Fedora, openSUSE, and related distributions. Each package contains the same offline devotional application: Scripture, reflection, prayer, scenic imagery, reminders, reading history, and local settings.
The Linux build is intentionally described as a testing preview. Desktop environments, display servers, sandboxing policies, notification services, and package managers vary considerably across Linux distributions. A package that opens cleanly on one system may need an extra permission or library on another. Feedback about the distribution, desktop environment, Wayland or X11 session, package format, and launch output is especially useful.
The preview is available from the v1.4.4 Linux testing release. The packages are unsigned, so a distribution may ask the user to confirm that the file is trusted. Download from the official release page and verify the published artifact before installing.
Linux is a natural home for a local-first devotional application. Work Day with God does not require an account, a subscription, or a continuously connected content service. The aim is simple: provide a calm, private place for Scripture and reflection, regardless of which desktop environment a person calls home.
